[ The entire time, Minato hasn't stopped cranking his lever; he can tell by the sound (or lack of) whether he's made any matches or not. ]

[ This'll be her in a while. Satisfied, Minato sits back and resumes his own lever pulling, eyes closed and mind wandering as he autopilots pulling and reaching over to take a swig of coffee every once in a while. He could probably do this in his sleep.

It'd be peaceful, if it weren't so bright and loud. ]

[ she keeps glancing at him, her concern growing slightly because it is so very obvious he has been doing this a lot.

she reaches over to poke his cheek ]

[ Minato startles, jerks awake, and falls sideways off his seat. ]

[ she jumps off her seat to hurry to him?? ]

[ He's fine, somewhat dazed, blinking up at Naminé ]

...............was there an earthquake....

[ what happened, why is he on the ground ]

Are you okay? You just... fell off!

[ she's poking him?? on the hunt for injuries?? ]

[ Minato squeezes his eyes at getting poked, because while he's not actively bleeding out, there are probably bruises somewhere and the lack of nutrients these past few days aren't going to do him any favors in healing up. ]

I'm alright. Probably was a muscle cramp or something... I wish there were left handed slot machines.

[ He sits up and extends a hand for Naminé to help haul him up, because better she does that than poke him in the ribs where it actually really hurts. ]

[ it most definitely was not a muscle cramp

but she takes his hand and up you go, minato, although gently in case he really is dead from the fall and his arm snaps off. ]

How long have you been at this for?

[ Minato gets off the ground, but doesn't let go of Naminé's hand; it's his hostage now, so he can sleep in peace and she can't poke him. ]

Hm..... Time kinda blurs together when you can't see the sun, you know? I've filled my coffee cups a couple of times, though.

[ There's like a dozen cups, which should collectively last him about a day, maybe. So. Three days. ]

I think it's time we take a short break. I can't have you falling off your seat again. What if I'm not around to get you back up?

[ she says this as if it wasn't her fault he fell off in the first place ]

I would try to use my foot to reach the lever probably.

[ But yeah, okay, fine. He goes ahead and lies back down on the ground, not half hanging off the chair like before, but flat on his back with his feet propped up on the seat to keep them up high. ]

[ well, that's one way to rest.

she sits down next to them, and once again they must look really dumb if anyone passes by them. ]

Is that comfortable?

[ But he's sitting like this anyways, gesturing to his feet. ]

It's something about keeping your legs up above heart level, so the blood doesn't pool down there. If that happens, it might clot, and you'd have to cut my legs off.

[ He is 17 years old and worried about leg clots. ]

But don't people normally sleep with their legs at heart level?

[ she glances at his legs. ]

We probably won't have to cut them off.

If they only sleep a couple hours, yeah, that's fine. But when you're in a hospital and are bedridden, not moving for so long gets dangerous.

[ Remember his profile, Naminé... this is going to be a 10 day nap. ]

Ah... well, I'll move your legs for you.

[ she nods after saying this, like that'll solve their problems. ]
