Was going to send something to Tsurumaru, but we decided on a different method, in the end. Other than that, a letter and gift to Sol. They received it, and we talked a little.

[ If only sending a letter meant they could talk with the departed, though. ]

Getting to reach out to others is a good way to spend time, when things are hard.

[ He wishes he could just eat cookies and play slots and lie on the ground all day all the time, but instead he's crunching burnt cookies and wishing tomorrow wouldn't come. ]

Do you and Emma spend a lot of time together? As roommates?

I wouldn't say that we're together constantly, but... she's very kind to me. I appreciate it a lot.

[ naminé wouldn't say they're anything like best friends, but they get along. ]

I'm glad. I like her too.

[ Kazuaki's been a good roommate too; Minato's sort of the opposite, wandering around all day and not coming home at night, but he tries. At least he's better than Hisoka. ]

Lots of people here... are very kind. So getting to know them, and then having something like this happen... it's unimaginable, huh?

Especially if it's someone you're bonded to. It's already bad enough when you just know them, but when you also might...

That's what it sounds like... But we have three people this time. And whoever the person who got corrupted is, if the purification process is the same...

So, there's four people who will be partnerless, if we count the roommate of whoever gets voted for. They can bond at least two of those people, like they did with Hisoka and Axel. But that's still two who won't make it.

[ Thanks for moving right along from killing to death. Minato rubs at the back of his neck, staring at Naminé's fingers as she counts. ]

Three dead... Number four gets voted on... Four partnerless... but potentially two could be saved.

Best case scenario, we're losing six people total.

Mm... there's always the possibility that the person who's corrupted happens to be partnered with someone who died. We can't say they wouldn't target whoever they're bonded with if they're not in control of their own body.

[ which means that there would only be one person leftover instead of two. ]

It's too difficult to tell without a motive. And I can't imagine anybody not getting along with any of those three- or Tsurumaru, either. Mary had wanted to be friends with everybody, after all.

... yeah. It's hard to make guesses when we don't know much.

Lune said we should have an easier time tomorrow, both because we should be more used to how trials work and also because something might be... different?

Because there's less people?

[ They could blindly guess and have a better chance of getting it right. ]

I'm not sure. When I tried asking about it, they wouldn't get any more specific than that.

Well... if Lune believes in us, we'll just have to trust that, right?
