[ he gets a smile, and then she turns her head back to what's ahead of them
and they land. it's-- they don't crash horrendously, at least? partly because she's done this before so she at least has a general sense on how to make sure they don't explode immediately.
that said, it's rough, and minato is probably going to slam into something because of the lack of seat belt, and they spin out pretty seriously after they land until the car comes to a very abrupt stop. ]
[ Miraculously, they're not dead!! Minato's legs also escape Tuesday unbroken, but the rest of him... There is no seat belt to hold him back when the car stops, so he's thrown forward— with no collision, the airbag doesn't deploy either, so he just sort of crashes into the windshield. It's like the tractor but at least there's something here to keep them inside this time instead of flying headfirst out of the vehicle. ]
[ it's immediate, how her expression just falls in what can only really be described as a kind of heartbreak. there's a moment where naminé just stares at him, unsure of how to react. ]
[ At least an amnesiac Minato can't be worse than the usual. He reaches up to touch his head, frowns a little when he feels the wet hot blood, and then the frown kind of deepens more when he tries to tuck his bangs behind his ear but there is no ear.
[ It's not something he can do anything about, so why waste his time worrying? He rubs at the side of his head, but it's still bleeding so he stops that. ]
[ He sits there for a moment, wondering how many car accidents he's gone through with this girl, to have broken what feels like an arm, a foot, and lost his ear. He sure hopes none of that was from this crash. ]
Accidents happen. We're both alive, though. Isn't that something to be grateful for?
but she just nods again, opting to just stay quiet. she'll park the car near her house before getting out, and she walks over to minato's side to wait for him.
her head hurts from where it hit the window and it'll probably leave a bruise, but. whatever she's not bleeding or has amnesia. ]
[ He gets out after the car makes a complete stop, frowning a little at the ...whatever this is around his legs... and checking the floor in front of his seat for any ears before closing the door behind him.
... He is only vaguely aware of where things are, so he just waits for Naminé to say or do something. The memories will come back after he sleeps, he thinks/hopes. ]
[ Minato squeezes her hand back, almost as if by reflex, before shifting to a looser, more comfortable grip, finally showing a smile after all this time.
He would probably not be this nonchalant about it if he remembered Emma also lives here, because Emma kind of scares him and every time she sees him with a new injury she looks like she wants to finish the job herself. ]
luckily for the convenience of a pc, she's not here. so naminé will just lead them to the bathroom, and then motion for minato to sit on the toilet seat. ]

[ Now her stomach is safe. ]

...Nice car, Naminé.

... what do you remember?
no subject
I remember... being in a car accident before. That was years ago, though. Mostly stuff from when I was little... then a blur. Lots of blood?
[ he shakes his head ]
It's kinda like waking up from a dream. Hard to remember. Then I woke up and saw you.
